MY Best Experiences
#Food #Culture#manner#Language#Frindship#New Friends#Love

We ate at Lamun Ombak, a traditional restaurant where we had to take off our shoes before entering. There were many kinds of food on the table, but we couldn’t finish it all. Instead of serving a cold glass of water with meals, they provided tea. Interestingly, customers only pay for the food they finish eating, not for the leftovers.

One unique thing I noticed was the kobokan—a small bowl of water placed beside diners so they can wash their hands before and after eating, as they usually don’t use spoons and forks. In Padang, people are not very fond of drinking cold water. Instead, they typically drink a type of tea, which is common among the Minangkabau people for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

What excited me the most was that all the food was spicy! Thai people also love spicy food, especially Tom Yum Kung, our famous Thai dish made with herbs and shrimp. There are so many delicious dishes in Padang that I really enjoyed, such as bakwan, soto ayam, nasi goreng, and risoles.

I know that once I return to Thailand, I will really miss all the amazing food from Padang!

Good manner in Idonesia
The manner is very important to live in socialites and I always realized to be good person from Thailand and respect other countries because we are different culture. There are many things that I have learned.
Do not shake a hand , or give some things to Indonesians with left hand, it's dispectful. Because left hand Indonesian use usually for dirty work.
In Indonesia, when you address someone, it would consider more polite if you use these specific term before metioning the name : Bapak (in short - pak) Mr., Ibu( in short -Bu) for Mrs., Mad for young man and Mbak for Miss/young woman.
Smile and say "hello" for everyone that you pass, even if you don't know that person.
